Apply online through PensionEase

PensionEase allows you to complete the entire retirement process online, including submitting forms and documentation, and updating beneficiary information, tax information and, if applicable, pension partner information.

PensionEase guides members through each step, allows required documents to be uploaded securely, and identifies any outstanding information.

Track your progress. The Retirement Status Bar in Your Pension Profile shows where the application is in the retirement process and any actions required.

Watch for messages. Messages in Your Pension Profile and PensionEase provide updates and requests for additional information.

A member who has already submitted a paper form may still be able to continue parts of the application online.

Choose Your Pension Option and Submit Documents

Online (recommended):

If you applied through PensionEase, you can choose your pension option and securely submit the required documents online through Document Centre.

Paper application:

If you submitted a paper Retirement Application, you will receive a Retirement Benefit Statement by mail. Review the statement, select a pension option, complete the required forms, and return your documents through Document Centre or by mail.

Complete this step two to three months before your retirement date to help avoid delays in receiving your first pension payment.

Complete Your Buyback (if applicable)

Complete payment for your buyback no later than 90 days from your retirement date.

Receive Your Pension Payment

To help avoid delays, submit all required forms and documentation as soon as possible. Our goal is to issue your first pension payment within 30 days of your selected pension start date. Pension payments are made on the second-last business day of the month, except in December, when payment is made before December 25.
